Natural Mineral MakeupWhat exactly is in the products you are putting on your face? There are many chemicals that go into making a foundation, eye
shadow and other makeup products. Most manufacturing facilities have large, foul-smelling vats of greasy, molten gunge, or giant slabs of the pungent,
brightly colored, congealed, waxy lard that create these products that end up in our makeup box.
The skin on your face is especially sensitive because it is constantly exposed to the environment. We then put all sorts of chemicals
on our face through our make-up. One of the main problems with cosmetics today is the use of colors within all the different shades of each product. Coloring
found in cosmetic products, known as iron oxides, originated as minerals, but are often reacted with chemicals at high temperature to isolate and refine the
material. Many colors that are used in cosmetics are still under much debate as to their safety and haven't been tested. |

Why use natural mineral cosmetics?
The colors to really look out for are coal tar colors, they are poisonous in their purest state. Almost all of these colors have been shown to cause cancer.
Restrictions have been placed on certain colors by the FDA in the past 50 years but many of these restrictions do not extend to cosmetics and many colors have
not been tested for their safety. BTrue Naturals has found companies that use natural mineral makeups that are safe and effective. |

Be aware of products for Eyes and Lips
Products that you put on your lips can be ingested so be very careful what you put on your lips. Products that you put on your eyes can be especially
dangerous because of your mucous membrane. These areas tend to have a higher absorption rate so be conscience about what you are using in these areas.
